The Standard Lime Euchlora is a clear-stemmed specimen of Tilia europaea ‘Euchlora’, grown as a standard tree with a graceful, broadly conical crown. This cultivar is widely regarded as one of the best limes for urban and garden planting, primarily because it is largely free from the aphid honeydew problems that affect many other lime species.

The foliage is particularly handsome — glossy, dark green, heart-shaped leaves that are larger and more lustrous than the straight species. In mid-summer, fragrant creamy-yellow flowers appear. The autumn colour is a warm golden-yellow.

Tilia europaea ‘Euchlora’ is highly tolerant of urban pollution, compacted soils, and exposed conditions. Its clean habit (no sticky honeydew drip) makes it an ideal choice for planting near cars, paths, and seating areas.
