This selected cultivar shares many of the same attributes as the Acer campestre ‘Elsrijk’, characterised by its beautiful small leaves and more upright, refined branching.
The foliage is small and delicate, emerging fresh green in spring and turning warm golden-yellow in autumn. The parasol training creates a broad, flat-topped or gently domed canopy that provides dappled shade beneath — ideal for underplanting or outdoor dining areas.
Acer campestre ‘Huibers Elegant’ is exceptionally hardy and adaptable. It tolerates exposed sites, pollution, and a wide range of soil types including chalk and clay. It thrives in full sun to partial shade.
