The Box Head Lime Pallida is a formally trained specimen of Tilia europaea ‘Pallida’, shaped into a dense, clipped cube on a clear stem. This vigorous cultivar is one of the most widely used limes for formal training, prized for its strong, straight growth and ability to produce a dense, even canopy when clipped.

The foliage consists of large, heart-shaped leaves that emerge bright green in spring and darken through summer. In early to mid-summer, clusters of fragrant, creamy-yellow flowers appear, attracting bees. In autumn, the leaves turn a soft golden-yellow.

Tilia europaea ‘Pallida’ is remarkably tolerant of urban pollution, compacted soils, and exposed conditions. It thrives in full sun to partial shade and prefers moist, well-drained soil.
